Euromicro DSD

"In 2008, Luca Fanucci (U. Pisa) suggested that Newcom++ could organise a Special Session on "Flexible Digital Radio" at the Euromicro Digital System Design (DSD) conference (Parma). The organising Chair was Dominique Noguet (CEA) and most of the organising committee members were Newcom++ WPR.C researchers. After the success of this first edition, this Special Session was asked for a new edition in 2009. This second edition in Patras attracted even more papers and two time slots were allocated. As a result of this success, Dominique Noguet was elected member of the DSD Technical Committee, and was asked to continue his efforts to make "Flexible radio" a growing area within DSD"

NEWCOM++ is the acronym of a proposed Network of Excellence in Wireless COMmunications, submitted to Call 1 of the VII Framework Program under the Objective ICT-2007.1.1: The Network of the Future, mainly in its target direction “Ubiquitous network infrastructure and architectures”. After the successful completion of its first phase over the period of March 2004 - February 2007, the European Network of Excellence in Wireless Communications (NEWCOM) was reconducted by the European Commission within the framework of FP7 for a second phase of 3 years starting in January 2008. The second phase of this network, known as NEWCOM++, gathers researchers from 17 major European institutions (universities, private and public R&D organizations).
