12th NATIONAL SYMPOSIUM OF RADIO SCIENCES

UNION RADIO-SCIENTIFIQUE INTERNATIONALE

U.R.S.I. 2009

 June 16-17, 2009 - Warsaw, Poland

 

This session aims to present the research results of the European Network of Excellence in Wireless Communications NEWCOM++. You are invited to submit papers covering, but not limited to, the following categories:

- Modeling, calibration, and validation of multi-dispersive, multi-link channels

- Iterative Receivers for Wireless Communications

- Coding for Multi-Hop Wireless Networks

- Relaying and cooperation in networks

- Joint Source and Channel Coding/Decoding

- Scheduling and adaptive radio resource assignment

- Network Theory

- Joint RRM and Flexible use of radio spectrum

- Opportunistic networks

- Security in Wireless Networks

- Localization and Positioning Techniques.

- Flexible Radio Platforms

- Adaptive Coding/Modulation for the Wireless Channel.

- Feedback and Resolution of the Channel State

 

Submission deadline (via e-mail): 15th of March 2009

Notification of acceptance: 15th of April 2009

Early registration 30th of April 2009

Camera ready: 15th of May 2009

 

Selected papers from the URSI Symposium will be published in one of such journals like: The Radio Science Bulletin, Journal of Telecommunications and Information Technology (National Institute of Telecommunications) or Quarterly of Electronics and Telecommunications (Polish Academy of Sciences).

 

Important submission guidelines:

The deadline for electronic submission is 15th of March. Authors are encouraged to send the prepared papers (for the paper style see http://www.ursi2009.pl/page.php?id=2086 ) directly to the N++ session organizer: akliks@et.put.poznan.pl

 

About U.R.S.I.

International Union of Radio Science (URSI – Union Radio-Scientifique Internationale) is a non-profit scientific organization which aim is to initiate and coordinate international studies research and scientific exchange within radio science.

URSI is a part of ICSU – International Council for Science URSI – has the following targets:

– to initiate and promote international activities within radio science and their implementation for commonwealth

– to initiate propagation and unification of measurement and methods and standards used in scientific works

– to initiate and coordinate research within:

  • scientific aspects of telecommunication using directed and indirected electromagnetic waves
  • generating, transmission, propagation, receiving and detection of fields and waves and processing signals included in them

– to be a representative of radio science for the public, and for public and private organizations.

 

Other information and parallel events

Although English and Polish are both the conference languages, the abstracts and camera-ready papers (selected to be published in one of the abovementioned journals) will be printed only in English. Moreover, special track (only in English) will be organized during the whole URSI conference. The plenary sessions and invited talks will be held in English as well.

Just after URSI symposium, the greatest and most important Polish national conference will be held (17th to 19th of June, see: http://kkrrit.ire.pw.edu.pl/ ).

In parallel with URSI symposium, the Technical Exposition will be organized, which allows to disseminate the scientific results to the industrial partners
