INT1: Quantifying the benefits of DAVINCI Turbo Receivers on the system level for next generation wireless communications
This internship will focus on the non-binary turbo receiver techniques for evaluation at the system level using WiMAX IEEE802.16m compliant platform. The summary of work plan envisaged is as follows:
- Familiarize with existing DAVINCI non-binary turbo receiver techniques (M1).
- Explore potential enhancements of non-binary turbo receiver techniques (M2-M3).
- Propose solutions for accurate abstraction of turbo receiver techniques at the system level and conduct evaluation using WiMAX 16m system level platform (M4-M5).
- Prepare for dissemination of the results through international publications (M6).
INT2: Optimization and profiling of H-ARQ techniques for the evaluation of DAVINCI technology using WiMAX 16m system level platform
This internship will focus on the optimization and profiling of H-ARQ techniques for DAVINCI together with evaluation at the system level using WiMAX IEEE 802.16m compliant platform. The summary of work plan envisaged is as follows:
- Familiarize with existing DAVINCI link adaptation strategies (M1).
- Explore potential optimization and suitable configurations of H-ARQ techniques in the framework of DAVINCI non-binary technology (M2-M3).
- Propose solutions for accurate abstraction of H-ARQ at the system level and conduct evaluation using WiMAX 16m system level platform (M4-M5).
- Prepare for dissemination of the results through international publications (M6).
