06 - UPC

Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) is a public university devoted to technical and scientific studies. The UPC researchers involved in NEWCOM++ belong to the department of Signal Theory and Communications, within the Radio Communications Group and the Signal Processing Group.

The Radio Communications Group focuses on Mobile Communications. The group has led IST ARROWS, EVEREST and AROMA projects and participated in other projects (E2R and E2R2 IP and the NEWCOM NoE). It has also been deeply involved in other academic (Spanish CICYTNational Research Agency) and private funded projects. In the framework of NEWCOM++, UPC will be involved in radio resource and spectrum management, scheduling, opportunistic networking and effects of partial CSI and feedback.

Within this context, the Radio Communications Group at UPC has recognized expertise in radio resource and spectrum management for heterogeneous cognitive networks gained from E2R, E2R2, EVEREST and AROMA 6th FP projects, national
projects and academic work.
