DSD2009 - Call for papers

Euromicro Conference on Digital System Design - DSD2009

August 27-29, 2009 - Patras, Greece – http://www.iuma.ulpgc.es/dsd2009/specialsessions.htm

Special Session: SS5 “Flexible Digital Radio Systems”

Organizer: Dominique Noguet

This special session addresses all aspects regarding both the digital architecture concepts and methodologies

of multi-standard, multi-mode flexible radios. Tradeoffs considering flexibility vs. computational, power

consumption parameters are cornerstones of architecture selection. Papers on any of the following and related

topics will be considered for the special session:

-          HW / SW partitioning for flexible radios

-          HW accelerators for flexible radios

-          Algorithm / Architecture optimization

-          HW factorization and parameterization techniques

-          Design space exploration methodology

-          Digital front end design

-          Parallel processing for real-time digital communication systems

-          Power consumption aware radios

-          Abstraction layers for multi-standard radio.

-          Open platforms for multi-standard support

-          Prototypes, applications, case studies

-          Application of flexible radio to cognitive radio
