The "Radio Access & Spectrum" cluster of 25 FP7-FP6 projects will hold a "Hot Topics" Workshop on the 30th of September in Brussels, 25 Avenue de Beaulieu. The workshop is open to all FP6/FP7 project participants and will be part of the 2nd EC Concertation meeting of ICT-FP7-FP6 "The Network of the Future" that takes place 30 September to 2 October 2008.

Registration

Note that attendance is not limited to active RAS project representatives: you are encouraged to invite other project participants to attend this informative workshop!

Participants are kindly asked to register on the EC's website before the 19 September if possible by following this link. Only registered participants will be granted entry to the EC premises!

Please also inform the workshop organizers of your intention to attend by emailing Jossy Sayir. This is not a binding registration but will make it easier for us to plan the workshop.

Agenda for the Workshop

The core of the agenda will be 6 panel sessions on hot topics within the areas covered by the RAS cluster. In addition, there will be time dedicated to cluster administration and outstanding issues. Please see below for the contents of the panel sessions.

"Hot Topics" Sessions

Each session will be initiated by a 15 minute introductory presentation by the session chair, followed by a 30 minute discussion among the panelists. The aim of these sessions is to provide insight into the topic for all those attending, independently of their background and expertise, as well as to provide a global overview of how each topic is addressed by current FP7-FP6 projects.

Advanced Multi-Carrier Communications

MIMAX is also interested to participate in the round table for Advanced Multi-Carrier Communications. We develop new MIMO communication schemes for OFDM. Of course, I think we can contribute to multi-user communications as well. I will prepare one slide for each session.
