Poznan University of Technology

Poznan University of Technology (PUT) is one of the leading technical universities in Poland. It provides higher education for 20,000 students at nine faculties. Chair of Wireless Communications (CWC) is involved in research and education in telecommunications and electronics. Its research activity is mostly concentrated on the physical and medium access control layers of wireless and wireline systems, such as: adaptive receivers in wireless systems, joint detectors for TDMA, CDMA
and OFDM systems.


In the framework of Newcom ++ CWC will be involved in the following areas: adaptive coding and modulation for wireless channel, iterative receivers, relaying and cooperation in networks, joint RRM and flexible use of radio spectrum, as well as in many of the integration, spreading of excellence and management activities. The research team involved in Newcom ++ has obtained a wide experience in research performed within the projects funded by the Polish State Committee of Scientific Research, COST projects, the 5th Framework IST project WIND-FLEX, the 6th Framework Projects WINNER and NEWCOM as well as in industrial projects. Currently, CWC also takes part in the Integrated Project WINNERII and the STREP project URANUS.
